Das Goethe-Institut London trägt zur Völkerverständigung bei und bietet für unglaublich günstige einhundertfünfundneunzig Pfund eine Art Deutschkurs mit Schwerpunkt Fußball (WM) an:

Topics will include technical stuff such as, what is the German word for referee and how do we, the fans, call him, and plenty more about teams and rules. Also how to get along in Germany when arriving, shopping and making small talk.
These workshops are aimed at people with no or little knowledge of German.

Klasse Idee. Ich schätze die Resonanz auf das Angebot trotzdem als eher gering ein, da sicher nicht viele Enländer Lust haben, soviel Geld dafür auszugeben.

PS: ich habe es aus der aktuellen TimeOut unter “book now”, aber Konstantin war schneller und hat sogar den Evening Standard eingescannt; nicht, dass nicht das der Verdacht aufkommt, ich schriebe ab oder so ;) (und smilies sind für mich eigentlich ein no-go im Blog, aber heute mache ich eine Ausnahme)

Nachtrag: habe noch ein paar Infos per email erhalten: “with the HELP of a German beer and food tasting.” Großartig. Hoffentlich nehmen da nicht nur britische Hooligans teil…

The sessions will be taught in a very fun and playful way so that students will enjoy their Friday evening at the institute, one day even with the help of a German beer and food tasting.
In this way we want students to understand more of the German (football) culture as well as helping them to make most of their trip to Germany during the World Cup.
